SteamDry Restore cleans carpet using high powered truck-mounted hot water extraction (steam cleaning) – a powerful, proven method designed to flush out soil and contaminants, not just “surface clean.”
We pair that with our Residue Clean approach to help ensure:

  • a thorough, more effective rinse
  • less sticky residue left behind
  • less rapid re-soiling after the appointment

For heavily soiled areas, we can use a counter-rotating brush (CRB) machine for high-agitation deep cleaning where it’s needed most, especially traffic lanes and problem zones.

  6. Truck-mounted hot water extraction lifts and removes embedded soil and contaminants.
  7. Reset + protect while drying
  8. We reset, moved items, and placed pads/tabs where appropriate to protect carpet and furniture as the carpet dries.

Carpet acts like a catch zone for dust, allergens, and tracked-in contaminants. Over time, that buildup can contribute to odors and “stale” air—especially in high-traffic areas or homes with pets.

A deep, thorough rinse can remove a significant amount of that embedded material. Clients commonly notice:

Some stains improve dramatically; others depend on the stain, how long it has been there, and whether it has set into the dye or the backing. We’ll set expectations clearly during the walkthrough.

Yes – truck-mounted hot water extraction is a standard professional method when done correctly and rinsed thoroughly.

For most homes, routine maintenance every 12–18 months is common. Some manufacturers require periodic professional cleaning to uphold warranty terms.

  • It’s walkable immediately, but we recommend limiting traffic while it dries because the carpet isn’t fully resilient yet.
  • Typical dry time is 12–24 hours, depending on airflow and humidity.

  • using floor fans if you have them

We want the cleaning to be thorough without turning your home into a construction site.
What we ask you to do first:

  • Remove breakable/fragile items from tables, nightstands, shelves, etc.

What we can move (as requested):

  • Most standard furniture has so that we can clean underneath
  • Dressers without attached mirrors, if they’re emptied of contents

What we do not move:

  • Beds
  • China hutches
  • Grandfather clocks
  • Desks

After cleaning, we reset items and use pads/tabs to protect carpet and furniture during drying.

Need a patch? We can often handle that, too.
SteamDry Restore offers carpet patching, and in many cases, we can do it better, and more effectively than a general installer — especially for common damage areas.
Limitations:

  • Some continuous loop carpets (Berbers) and wool can be more complex and may not be patchable in all cases.
